Big Island Candies is taking applications for its annual junior golf scholarship award.
Established in 1995, the purpose of the scholarship “is to encourage the attainment of higher education for graduating seniors who are active members of a junior golf program on the Big Island,” according to a release.
Applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.0 through the second quarter/first semester of their senior year, and will be judged on academic achievement, SAT score, letter of recommendation, personal biography and extracurricular activities.
